Frequently Asked Questions
What is fancy text?
Fancy text is normal text rewritten with special Unicode characters that resemble bold, cursive, gothic or bubble lettering.
How does Unicode conversion work?
Each letter is replaced by a matching character from a Unicode block, such as Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols. Characters without a match are left unchanged.
Are these real fonts?
No. They are separate characters, which is why they can be pasted into places that do not support font styling.
Why do some characters display as boxes?
Your device or app has no font containing that character. Try a style with a higher compatibility badge.
Does the website save entered text?
No. Conversion runs in your browser. Text is stored on your device only if you tick “Remember my input”.
How do I copy generated text?
Press the Copy button on a result. If your browser blocks it, select the text and copy it manually.
Why do some styles not work on every platform?
Platforms support different Unicode ranges and fonts, and some filter special characters in names or bios.
Can I create my own translator?
A custom translator editor is planned but not available yet.
Are the tools free?
Yes, all tools are free and need no account.
How can I suggest new styles?
Use the suggestions page and describe the style or tool you would like.
